The HassleFree Way to Install Dish Satellite TV
-
Looking to install DISH satellite TV in your home?
There is no need to worry about installing the satellite dish yourself, since installation is now included free in most satellite packages. If you are thinking of getting satellite, here are some things you might want to consider.
Picture Quality
All programming on the DISH Network are digital, but now so is the programming content over Cable networks. Cable, however, is still having trouble delivering HD whereas DISH Network delivers high quality HD right to your own personal satellite dish, and to your televisions. With many cable providers HD channels are only available if cable TV is bundled with their other products.
Number of Channels
Before you install DISH satellite TV you will want to know how many channels you can receive. The packages available vary from 55 channels to nearly 300. The packages with higher numbers of channels include several CD-quality music channels, which many people find valuable. However it is something to be aware of, that 300 channels does not always mean 300 different TV programs to watch.
Pricing
In many cases a simple price comparison with cable TV is enough to make you want to install DISH satellite TV. With DISH Network you can get started for as little as $25 a month. Cable is going for upwards of $50 and $60 per month, and that price is before they add the extras like an HD box, a DVR or premium movie channels, each of which will tack on an extra $8 to $15 to your monthly bill.
In addition to your monthly bill, you will want to know the price to get started. Great to know that it is free to install DISH satellite TV, including mounting the dish, running & grounding the cables, and weatherproofing the connections and structure. To add a DVR will cost around six dollars, but one DVR can be shared between 2 TVs.
Equipment
When you install DISH satellite TV you will get the dish, the cables, the receiver and remote included in the installation. There are some upgrades and accessories available to enhance your experience, but you really only need what comes with the installation to enjoy great satellite TV right away.
